ACORN + SIDE RAIL COLLECTIVES Pressents:

Open Mic & Art Night

Side Rail is joining forces with Acorn Collective to offer a unique open arts night to the public once a month!

The event will be hosted at Side Rail Collective (in Georgetown) every 2nd Thursday of the month!

This Month:

Come join us for a night of creativity and community with an open mic and art activity with guest musician, Karen Miler and guest artist, Jesse Proebstel.

Our art activity for the evening will be small scrap wood assemblages in the style of Louise Nevelson and Jesse Proebstel.

Jesse Proebstel - Artist

Jesse is a Seattle based artist and woodworker. His work has evolved from beautiful hand carved utensils- whose playfully elegant forms are equal parts sculptural and utilitarian - to simple evocative woodassemblages. We are so thrilled to have Jesse share his talents with our community.

Karen Miller is a songwriter from Tacoma who is known for her clever lyrics and wry humor. She draws inspiration from taylor swift to Jimmy Buffett and everything in between. Her music is available for streaming on all major platforms. Please stream her so Spotify will give her one third of a cent.

If you would prefer to bring your own art project to work on please feel free.

  • You're welcome to BYOB, but we will also have snacks and drinks available for additional donation.

  • We are asking for a $10 suggested donation to help cover the costs of art supplies, etc.
